Product Description

Bulletproof durability doesn’t have to weigh a ton. Our new dynaflyte™ shoe combines flytefoam™ technology with super fibers for a feather light shoe that is strong enough to endure your longest runs.

In 1949, Mr. Kihachiro Onitsuka began his athletic footwear company (Onitsuka Co., Ltd.) by manufacturing basketball shoes out of his living room in Kobe, Japan. He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano," which, when translated, expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." Taking the acronym of this phrase, ASICS was founded on the belief that the best way to create a healthy and happy lifestyle is to promote total health and fitness. Today, ASICS offers a full line of performance-driven athletic shoes and technical active sports apparel and accessories dedicated to bringing harmony to the body and soul.

Really disappointed.

Really disappointed.
The shoes arrived damaged with scuffing and peeling of the sole of the shoe. Clearly had been worn with scuffing on the bottom of shoe. Also, arrived in a non-Asics shoe box which should have been the tip off that these were not new. Really disappointed.Update: I requested replacement shoes and the return process was super simple. The shoes came in perfect condition in the original box. I have run in them several times and they feel great! No issues.

I'm a long time Asics running shoe devotee. I changed my gait/cadence to quicker cadence & striking midfoot so thought a lightweight, neutral running shoe would be a good call. The Asics DFA-33 was neutral, lightweight, but sloppy and my runs became painful, so I gave the Dynaflyte a try. The Dynaflytes are about as perfect as a running shoe can be, for my needs/biomechanics. They strike this great balance of structure, support, durability, while still being relatively lightweight. If this is because of the new FlyteFoam, I'm a fan! I've had them about 4 months, fairly light mileage (I like to run 3 or so quick miles a few times a week), and they still feel new. I think they would hold up really well to higher mileage, as long as they are the right fit and support for you.

Speaking of fit, I have a regular width foot but very narrow heel that slips out of 99% of running shoes but these keep my heels locked in, which feels fantastic and I'm now spoiled. I plan to buy more!

I love these shoes. So comfortable. Fits as expected. I wear 9.5 to 10 regular shoes. I go up one size for running shoes to allow for socks and feet swelling so I get these in a size 11. They are sturdy but lightweight, good cushioning, arch support. Highly recommend Asics for fit, style and comfort.

This is my second pair of original Dynaflytes. I loved my first pair, and when the Dynaflyte 2 came out, I got those. However, they were awful. Asics put a piece of hard plastic around the heel into the arch area, which bothered a nerve in my foot. So, I happened to find the original Dynaflyte again, and jumped on ordering a pair. I hope Asics ditches that hard plastic in future models, or I'll have to find another brand. In the interim, I went to a Brooks Glycerine. They were comfortable but I felt like I was wearing big clunky high heels, as the difference between the heel height and the toe is pretty dramatic. I like that the Dynaflyte is very streamlined, and doesn't feel big and clunky at all.

I always go up a full size in running shoes because my feet swell as I run. These shoes are great! I have been a long time Nimbus fan and love the extra cushioning they provide for long runs. These shoes are the best of both worlds. Light and provide a great deal of cushioning that I am accustomed to. Did I mention how light they are? I would recommend this running shoe for people that have a neutral gait. I am not sure how much support they would provide for over pronators. Plus a sales person at a local running store mentioned this shoe was designed to wear longer than other light weight running shoes, which will save me $$ over time. I'm hoping to get 500 miles out of them.

These sneakers were a follow-up to the Ascis Fuzex which, once they broke in, were great and lasted 1050 indoor running miles. The Dynaflyte have been very comparable. The fit was slightly tight until about 20 miles of indoor running. The shoe is now PERFECT . . . comfortable, lightweight, and never hurt my feet. Very good product and well worth the money spent.

Been wearing Asics DS Trainers for over a year mainly because they are lighter and there is almost a feel of being closer to the ground. I've tried both the Kayano and the cumulus and liked both for their comfort and cushioning but gradually felt the need for a lighter shoe. These new ones are comparable to the ds trainer and so far so good. I have flat, widish feet and there is plenty room by the toes. I wear my normal 9 1/2 and it's perfect. I also changed laces to lock laces so it's a perfect fit every time. No adjusting. I'm a runner and a triathlete so my shoes get plenty wear.

I only give these 2 stars because the tongues are different lengths and it is super annoying. I thought I wouldn't notice that much, but I lace to the very last hole for extra ankle stability. The laces go over the short tongue and rub into the ankle if i do this, so I changed the way I laced them. It still makes me angry every time I put them on and see the difference, so I measured and it is a full 1/4 inch shorter.

Other than that these shoes are very comfortable and lightweight, they do run a bit small so consider going up a half size (I normally wear a size 5 in women's shoes and should have gotten a 5.5). I've gone up to 11 miles in them comfortably.
