I have owned, and do own many IEMs/earbuds including multiple sets from Bowers & Wilkins and Klipsch, to name a couple -many of them that retailed well into the hundreds of dollars. I am very particular about the quality and accuracy of the music that I listen to. I won't use the word audiophile, because I think the word is overused. Let's just say that I am very fussy about the sound quality of the music I listen to. Although some folks may be concerned about the higher price, relative to other earbuds on the market, make no mistake that these IEMs bring music listening to a whole new level! The sound is spacious (nice soundstage), detailed, accurate and full! This includes the mids, which can sometimes get muddied with many earbuds/headphones. I am hearing details that I have not heard before, without harshness or ear fatigue (complements of the tweeters). The bass is solid and tight without being overbearing. These have true monitor quality (accurate) sound. The build quality is very solid. There is no discomfort whatsoever when wearing, because of the minimal size and terrific fit! These are hands down the most comfortable IEMs I have ever owned! All in all, these are amazing, and I am now spoiled!Read full review

I've tried literally dozens of earbuds over the past few years, never finding a pair that satisfy my demands of a set of earbuds. These buds deliver and unbelievable flat frequency response across the entire audible spectrum and make me feel like I am there in the room at the recording studio. I would highly recommend these buds to anyone looking for that "real" sound, without any artificial boosts anywhere in the frequency spectrum. I can listen to these for hours without any discomfort and am completely satisfied with this purchase.

I'm not really an audiophile (maybe I'm becoming one LOL), but I do appreciate good gear for listening to music and can generally tell the difference between a decent set of headphones or earbuds and a cheap Walmart set. Well, my Klipsch x11i ear buds finally gave out after a couple of years of heavy use and were not really repairable. I had thought I might just get another set of x11i, or maybe pop for the newer x12i. However, Klipsch has a new flagship in-ear monitor (high-end ear buds), the x20i. These were selling for $550 when I first saw them online, which I could not bring myself to spend. But recently the price dropped by $110 and, while they were still very expensive compared to the x12i, I decided to try these x20i in-ear monitors. Wow! That's all I can say. The x11i ear buds sounded great, but these x20i in-ear monitors are on a whole different level, seriously. I have almost 10,000 songs in my High Def library and I usually listen with a FiiO X5 through a FiiO E12 Amp and these things are unreal! There are little nuances in songs that I never knew were there - until now. The music seems to be in your head, not in your ears. The response is flat and you feel like you are hearing what the artist actually sounded like in studio (or on stage). If you are looking for something with big boomy thumpy thumpy base, don't waste your money on these - go buy a pair of Beats. On these, the base is tight and crisp, but not overwhelming. The mids and highs are just right - not sculpted or over-exaggerated. I.e., the sound is not "molded" towards more bass or more highs, - everything just blends perfectly. You get the feeling you are listening to exactly what the artist sounded like in the studio or on the stage. I am loving these so far. So, if you are one who appreciates really accurate, clear, crisp sound I'd rate these Klipsch x20is at 10+ Only minor grip: For the price of these babys, Klipsch should offer more than the standard 1 year warranty, I mean really.Read full review

These replaced my lost X12i’s. I tried 1more quads and they just didn’t do it for me. These are infinitely more comfortable and easier to put in and out and less fatiguing. Perhaps I was used to the flatter response of the X12’s but all I can say is these blow the 1more’s out of the water. I can’t do a head to head with the X12’s but these have beautiful tight bass response and crystal clear mids and highs. Wide open clarity and soundstage. I’m in love.

Outstanding sound; rich, full soundstage, decent across the whole range; base, mids and highs for such a small, lite in-ear experience. Much sturdier than, for example, the x10i and x11i, both of which I've also owned. I use these with my iPhone and they sound great, but I really love them plugged into my Fiio High Def player. I started with the X10i and when they went bad while still under warrnety, they were replaced under warrnety with the X11i (since by then the X10i were out of production). I loved the X11i also but alas one of the buds stopped working after they were out of warrenty. That's when I decided to go all in and get these - I'm glad I did. I absolutely love the sound I get from these, especially with the hi-def player. I also love that each of the ear buds (with about 3-4 inches of line) are replacable. The only con I can think of is that the play/volume control is a bit plastic/cheap feeling and also a bit on the bulky/heavy side (sometimes the ear bud will come out of my left ear if not firmly in place due to the weight of this player/volume control. If they could improve the player/volume control (better material and less bulky) these X20i's would be 10/10. As it is they are only 9.8/10 :)Read full review
